The Lord of Blood emerges from the money pit, surprising Sianica, who is eaten.

Battle is joined. The paladin Longrin takes a swat from the Lord of Blood's tentacle.

The Lord of Blood is not invulnerable! The heroes have severed a chunk of one of his tentacles. The line of monks at right is fighting bravely but ineffectually with their staves. Mykk, the crossbow + sword wielder in the upper center of the shot, is chagrinned to be missing the mayhem.

Mykk charges, but is caught up in the Lord of Blood's tentacles!

It's nearly curtains for Mykk. His brave companions Aaron, Longrin, and FattaBastärd are toe-to-tentacle with the Lord of Blood, desperately fighting to save their companion...

And victory! Longrin the paladin stands atop the fœtid remains. But can such evil be vanquished by simple steel? Time will tell....
